I’m a teenager and its just my personality that my family says I take the time to watch the beautiful things in everyday life. My family also says that I show love towards them maybe too often. I’ve been working to get them to just stop and watch the baby deer cross the river with its mother, or just relax, take a breath, and walk slowly because what she said is all true, ‘when you run so fast to get somewhere you miss half the fun of getting there’ this is a lovely poem and most people tell there daughter or son that they’re too busy with work or with what they are doing to play with dolls or pass a football. You need to cherish the time you have to play dolls or pass a football, because they are growing up and you are too.

I too thought this poem was just another piece of junk mail when I first read it. Like you I was too busy with everyday life to stop, take note and really appreciate its message. But I’m glad I did now.

It goes to show that if you whizz through life, you miss the finer, more important details…

Hi Jonas, it’s so true! We all need to take some time to stand back, watch the world spin like crazy and realise that there are far more important things in life to think about besides making money and have material possessions.

We need to do more of the important things; spend time with family, cultivate our friendships and look after ourselves, both physically and mentally.

It goes to show that if you whizz through life, you miss the finer, more important details…
